Shri Krupa Company Dancers have now evolved into Ambassadors of the art of Bharatanatyam, following the strict confines of the Tanjore Tradition. Invitations to Individual and Group performances at locations across India, Canada, Australia and most recently, in Spain are a testament to the learning process at Shri Krupa Dance Company and a degree of commitment by each dancer. Regular performances in Chennai at Margazhi Festival is a level unparalled for each Dancer. Artistic Director Vishal Ramani sums it up simply as: “I must say I’m very proud of them… They are very dedicated. They give their hearts out to the school,” says Ramani. Most recently, a first place award at the Barcelona Arts Festival, and yet again at Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival, a young danseuse from Shri Krupa won a coveted third place in the youth section – Shri Krupa is certainly making it’s mark in the arts field! From audiences appreciating the sheer perseverance of the youngsters, surprised at keeping the legacy alive, to Art critics and World renowned artists complimenting the Guru and the Shishya – Shri Krupa is creating an Excellence all on it’s own!
